I am dedicating this memorial to my dad, Glenn H. Erickson. He was the best dad ever. My dad was a very caring and loving father. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He especially loved his grandkids. Some of his hobbies were: bowling(earlier years), traveling(earlier years), playing horseshoes, cards, being outdoors, tinkering in his garage, drinking beer, and just being around people. My dad was very social and had a overall wonderful personality. Everyone loved being around him and spending time with him. Then in October of 2005, my dad passed away from a stroke after a lengthy illness(leukemia); however, just had started remission then had a stroke, which then made him become an angel. What was so hard for my mother that dreadful day, was that he died on their anniversary. I hope you are taking good care of Katie. I miss you both terribly. I am sending you my love always.
Missing you forever, your dear daughter,
Deana

It's been 5 years already

Can't believe it's been 5 years already that you left us. You left this world earlier than we thought. I thought you'd be around for so much longer. I am missing you and love always. Sending so many hugs and kisses today, Dad.

Remembering Dad

A wonderful man
A father and husband
The one we all turned to
When we needed a strong hand
A great father and an upstanding man,
Left us far too soon
But he left behind a wonderful legacy
And although it has been 3 1/2 years
Since he was called away
We who love him
Think of him every single day.
This little note is to say thank you
And bring to mind
This wonderful dad who was mine.

No Tears in Heaven...

They say there are no tears in Heaven,
But that must be wrong today.
Because you took part of my broken heart,
When you went away.
I know my tears must have followed you,
How else can it be?
My Spirit feels so broken,
Beause you’re no longer here with me.
They say someday I will accept your passing,
But, right now that can’t be true,
Because part of me is in Heaven,
My tears..... followed you....

Today I stumbled and once again
Was lifted up by an unseen hand
What comfort and joy that knowledge brings.
For I hear the whispers of Angels wings...

The guardian Angels that God sends to all
To bear us up when we stumble and fall.
Trust Him, my friend, and often you'll hear
The whisper of Angels wings hovering near...

Missing You

Just thinking about you today, dad. I hope you are doing all the things you like to do in heaven. I bet everyone in heaven is enjoying your company. I'm sure you are making them all laugh. I miss your sense of humor and your smiles. I really do hope you are ok up there in the clouds. I am sending hugs and kisses today. Thanks for having been a wonderful father.
Loving you always,
Deana
